Do you feel you want more from your life? Do you have goals and secret dreams and you’re ready to make them happen, and yet you’re still feeling stuck or unsure.
Well here’s ten questions you can ask yourself that’ll help give you some clarity and direction so you can actually start creating the life you really wanna live!
One: How important is this goal/change to you? If you didn’t get it how would that honestly make you feel?
What you want to change, do, be or have has to be so important to you that not changing it isn’t an option for you.
Two: Do you want it because YOU want it or because you feel others expect it from you?
You’ll always struggle if you’re trying to change something because of others and not because you want to, in addition if it’s not aligned with who you are and the life you want to live.
Three: Do you find yourself returning to the idea even when you’re doing other things?
It’s a good sign that you really do want to pursue it, and it’s time to embrace that.
Four: Right now, are you not taking the action because of your fears around it or because of obstacles that you feel are in your way?
Your fears will always be there, but you can learn to do it anyway, and you have to ask yourself if the obstacles are really what’s stopping you.
Five: Are you worried about what others will think of you if you do it? Do you fear failure or even success?
Ask yourself again if it’s important to you, will it change your life for the better, will you feel happier? Then what others may or may not think is not your problem. You need to do what fulfills you.
Six: Are you using empowering visualisations and affirmations to keep you focused on your dreams and goals?
Most of what we do and don’t do in our lives comes down to our own beliefs and experiences so a big part of making the changes you want in your life is to shift your beliefs and to strengthen your mindset and become the person who you see in your vision.
Seven: Are you really willing to do what it takes to make the changes you want and create the life you really want?
Sometimes it’s about being really honest with yourself as to whether you’re prepared to take the action and step out of your comfort zone to actually make it happen. #dothework so to speak.
Eight: Are you super clear on what it is you actually want?
If you’re not clear (down to the detail) on what you actually want not only does that leave you uncertain on what actions you should be taking, but your life can’t start shifting to help you make it happen either.
Nine: Are you making room for your dreams and goals?
They can’t happen if you’re not willing to make room for them, make the time to start making the changes, prioritise them in your daily life.
Ten: What action can you take now, today, this week so that you can make progress?
Taking some action without over thinking it means you’ve taken a step towards what you want and you will feel good about it. So take the leap and just get started with something. It’s likely you do have an idea of what you could do to at least get the ball rolling so go do it.
Making changes in your life, reaching an important goal is a journey both in the time it will take and for you as a person. It’s about building your self belief, creating an unstoppable mindset, starting habits that will support you, taking action even when it feels uncomfortable and knowing what to do when things don’t go to plan so that you can confidently keep moving forward in the direction of your dreams and GET there.
